Chamber representative promoted to managing chamber director

The Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the promotion of Cathey Wrenn to the position of Managing Chamber Director after three years of dedicated service to the organization.
Since joining the Chamber in 2022 as a Chamber Representative, Mrs. Wrenn has been instrumental in supporting the Chamber's operations, strengthening member relationships, and enhancing office management efficiency. Her leadership and commitment to the Chamber’s mission have significantly contributed to business growth and community engagement in the Grenada region.

A native of Water Valley, Mrs. Wrenn moved to Grenada nearly 18 years ago and brought with her over two decades of management experience. Before joining the Chamber, she served as an Agent and Office Manager at Rawson Insurance Agency in Grenada, MS. Her deep-rooted knowledge of administrative operations and community involvement has made her a key asset to the Chamber.

“Cathey’s dedication to our mission has been evident since day one,” said Matthew Harrison, President of the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce. “Her leadership, experience, and passion for the community make her the perfect fit for this role. We are confident that under her direction, the Chamber will continue to thrive and foster economic growth in Grenada.”

As Managing Chamber Director, Mrs. Wrenn will oversee daily Chamber operations, membership relations, strategic initiatives, community partnerships, and business advocacy. She will continue working closely with local businesses and stakeholders to ensure the Chamber remains a driving force in Grenada’s economic development.

“I am truly honored to step into this new role,” said Mrs. Wrenn. “Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team and dedicated business leaders. I look forward to furthering our mission, strengthening our community, and continuing to make Grenada a great place to live, work, and grow.”

Mrs. Wrenn is a licensed Mississippi Insurance Producer - Property and Casualty and remains actively involved in community initiatives. She resides in Grenada County with her husband, Brandon.

The Greater Grenada Partnership was created as an inter-connected community economic development agency to enhance the regional economy. Centrally located between Jackson, MS, and Memphis, TN, the organization partners with regional municipalities, mayors, and area boards along with the Grenada County Board of Supervisors. The organization is comprised of the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Grenada Foundation for Economic Development, and the Grenada County Economic Development District. The GGP utilizes strategic partnering to bring new businesses and jobs to Grenada County while working closely with existing businesses to expand their current operations.
