The Greater Grenada Partnership is the lead economic development organization serving Grenada County, Mississippi. Our mission is to strengthen the local economy by:

- Developing and implementing strategies that promote sustainable economic growth throughout Grenada County.

In November of 2017, Matthew Harrison was named Executive Director of the Grenada County Economic Development District. Mr. Harrison has a highly diversified 18-year career portfolio encompassing economic development, business technology, automotive, and manufacturing. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Harrison served as a business relationship executive in various organizations focusing on existing business expansions, workforce development, and new economic development for communities in North America and internationally. He has consulted with global, regional, and local businesses on the best practices to fostering productive relationships with the community and its leaders. Mr. Harrison’s focal point in business relationship management helps bridge the gap between Grenada County and the manufacturing sector. Mr. Harrison received a Master of Science in Economic Development from the Trent Lott National Center for Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management, numerous credentials in Project Management and Business Management, and is a credential economic and community development leader. Mr. Harrison is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Mr. Harrison is a proud alumnus of the Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) Rural Leadership Institute and Delta Leadership Institute, whose primary focus is advancing community development and growth across the Delta region of North Mississippi.
