10/02/2024
Grenada, MS – Milwaukee Tool is proud to announce the opening of its newest and largest manufacturing facility in the United States, located in Grenada County, Mississippi. This state-of-the-art, 500,000-square-foot facility marks the company's eighth location in Mississippi and represents an investment of over $60 million. The new facility is set to employ more than 800 people, further solidifying Milwaukee Tool's commitment to the state and its people.
In addition to this significant expansion, Milwaukee Tool will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 2nd to officially inaugurate the facility. The following day, on October 3rd, the company will hold a job fair at the facility in two sessions: from 9 AM to 11 AM and 1 PM to 4 PM, seeking potential employees for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to support its manufacturing operations. Chad Bridges, president of the Grenada County Board of Supervisors is encouraging candidates looking for career to take the time to apply. “This is an excellent opportunity for folks to start with a great company from day one and work their way up the career ladder. We want to see these roles filled with the hard-working folks in Grenada and the surrounding areas so Milwaukee can be successful for years to come. Folks are looking for companies that care about their employees and there is no doubt that Milwaukee has created a first-class facility to attract them.”
Interested candidates are encouraged to attend the job fair or apply online by visiting the Milwaukee Tool careers page at www.milwaukeetool.jobs/grenada. Applications are being accepted for a variety of positions in support of manufacturing operations.
Matthew Harrison, CEO of the Greater Grenada Partnership, expressed his excitement for the project: “The new facility sets the bar high for advanced manufacturing in Grenada. Employees will not only have opportunities for lifelong careers but also excellent workplace accommodations. I applaud Milwaukee Tool for creating a positive environment for workers in the community."
The Grenada facility will initially manufacture Milwaukee’s renowned line of accessories, including the iconic SAWZALL® Blades, and will expand to include additional product lines over time. This facility is critical to Milwaukee Tool’s continued growth, which has seen consistent double-digit gains for more than a decade.
“Our rapid growth continues to accelerate, and this new facility in Grenada plays a crucial role in maintaining our trajectory of excellence in serving our distributor and user partners,” said Scott Griswold, Group President of the Professional Accessories Business Unit at Milwaukee Tool. “This success is the direct result of recruiting some of the best talent in the nation, especially from Mississippi. Our strong people and unique culture are unlike anything else in the industry.”
